The Municipality of Agia, iorganized a tour in order to promote the local landscape an its outstanding natural beauty.

The Municipality of Agia, in collaboration with the “Sympraxis” travel agent network organized a tour on Saturday, May 29, 2021 in order to promote the local landscape an its outstanding natural beauty. 15 travel agents from Thessaloniki participated in the one-day excursion and had the opportunity to visit both the beaches of the coastline and the mountain area. The group of agents was welcomed and guided by the Deputy Mayor of Tourism and Culture of the Municipality of Agia, Nikolaos Ntagas, and the employees of the Municipality.

Starting from the beach of Stomio, the group was welcomed by the local officials, discussed about the history and the sights of the region, and some of the visitors became acquainted with the Pinios River Delta. Their next stop was the Spring of Kokkino Nero (Red Water), where they tasted the red mojito and the delicacies prepared by the local associations. Then, the group had the opportunity to visit the rest of the beaches of the coastline and the visitors were impressed by the endless blue of the sea and the green of the mountain. The trip ended after a short tour of the Center of Agia and the picturesque Metaxochori, and a tasting of local products. The travel agents’ impressions of the tour were higly positive, and they promised to visit the rest of the region soon.
