Applications are now open for the interinstitutional Master’s programme “Greece: Church History and Civilization”, jointly offered by the Department of Social Theology and Christian Culture at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Department of Social Theology and Religious Studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
The programme is open to graduates of theology and humanities departments, as well as to graduates of other university departments, Higher Ecclesiastical Academies and equivalent institutions abroad. For the academic year 2026–2027, up to 80 students will be admitted.
The programme lasts three semesters and leads to a postgraduate diploma of specialisation. Tuition fees total €1,800, payable in three instalments. Scholarships may be awarded to up to 10% of enrolled students on the basis of academic and financial criteria.
Applicants must demonstrate knowledge of at least one foreign language at B2 level or higher. Selection is based on academic qualifications, research and professional experience, and an oral interview.
Applications and supporting documents must be submitted between 24 August and 4 October 2026, either by email to [email protected] or by courier to the Secretariat of the Department of Social Theology and Christian Culture at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. The dates of the foreign-language examination and interviews will be announced on the programme’s website.
