Το ΓΑΚ/Ιστορικό Αρχείο – Μουσείο Ύδρας και ο Ιερός Καθεδρικός Ναός Κοιμήσεως της Θεοτόκου Ύδρας διοργανώνουν, στο πλαίσιο των εκδηλώσεων «Θεομητορικά 2026», ομιλία της δημοσιογράφου και κλασικής φιλολόγου Βίκυς Φλέσσα, με θέμα «Θεοτόκος, η Μητέρα του Κόσμου». Η εκδήλωση θα πραγματοποιηθεί το Σάββατο 8 Αυγούστου 2026, στις 21:00, στο δώμα του Ιστορικού Αρχείου – Μουσείου Ύδρας.

The GSA/Historical Archives–Museum of Hydra and the Holy Cathedral of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary in Hydra are organizing, as part of the “Theomitorika 2026” events, a lecture by journalist and classicist Vicky Flessa, on the topic “The Virgin Mary, Mother of the World.” The event will take place on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 9:00 p.m., on the rooftop of the Historical Archives–Museum of Hydra.

During her talk, Ms. Flessa will explore the theme of the Theotokos’s presence and symbolism, focusing on the image of the Theotokos as the “Mother of the World” through literary, iconographic, and liturgical traditions. The event is part of the broader “Theotokos 2026” program, co-organized by GSA/HAMH and the Holy Temple, with the aim of highlighting the theme of the Mother of God in the island’s spiritual and cultural life.
