The Bonifacio International Biennial of Fire Arts (BIBAF) continues in 2026 its programme dedicated to major international scenes in ceramics and fire arts. Following France (2014), Italy (2016), Japan (2019), Malta (2022) and Serbia (2024), Greece has been invited as the guest country of honour for this new edition.

Under the title KALLISTE – Corso Greek, BIBAF26 presents an exhibition dedicated to contemporary Greek ceramics and glass, bringing together five artists who capture the richness and diversity of today’s Greek creative scene: Chrysanthi Lyberaiou, Kyriaki Moustaki, Liana Papalexi, Giorgos Pontikis, and Stratos Zargklis.

The title “Kalliste” refers to the ancient name the Greeks gave to Corsica, which means “the most beautiful.” It highlights the historical and cultural ties between Mediterranean regions and fosters a dialogue between heritage, material culture, and contemporary creation.

The exhibition will take place from August 1 to 31, 2026, at Espace Saint-Jacques, a former 12th-century church in the heart of the medieval citadel of Bonifacio, which overlooks the white cliffs of southern Corsica.

The opening will take place on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., with the artists in attendance.
