Dimitris Claudio Bandourakis’s practice unfolds through slow processes of surface formation, repetitions, shifts, and successive gestures that accumulate on the canvas. The intense color contrasts, the bright, almost fluorescent hues, and the abstract forms create images that seem to shift between landscapes, traces, and fields of color. His work approaches painting as a physical and temporal condition, where the image does not appear as a fixed result but as a record of duration, rhythm, and control. Through layers, repetitions, and subtle shifts, the surfaces of the works remain open, inviting a slow form of observation.
The ammophila gallery is launching a new series of solo presentations featuring emerging artists who have not yet held a solo exhibition. Each presentation functions as an open studio, emphasizing the convergence of diverse artistic practices and the engagement of the artistic community.
