To mark World Poetry Day on March 21, 2026, Poetry Bridges is organizing a special event that brings science and poetry into dialogue, highlighting creativity as their common ground.

The keynote speaker will be dermatologist Spyridon Passakos, who will address current issues such as acne and melanoma, with an emphasis on prevention and public awareness, in anticipation of the summer season.

At the same time, the program “Ancient Wisdom on a Modern Journey – Reading and Decoding the Odyssey” will be presented by literary scholar Vasso Panagopoulou. The program will conclude with three sessions in April at the Petrosophy International Cultural Center.

The evening will continue with Mr. Nikos Dendrinos, author, publisher, and journalist, featuring poetic interludes, where the creators, friends of the Center, will explore themes such as nature, society, equality, and the human experience.

This initiative is part of the broader framework of activities associated with the International Days on March 21 and highlights the importance of creativity as a bridge between knowledge, culture, and society.

From this perspective, the event “When Knowledge Becomes Creation – Science and Poetry in Dialogue” explores how medical knowledge and the care of human life are forms of creation, and how poetry serves as a living bridge between cultures, generations, and ecosystems.
