On Friday, February 13, 2026, the Municipality of Agia held an open information event at the Town Hall Square to launch its home composting program, which involves the free distribution of home composters to residents.

During the event, residents were informed about the basic steps of proper composting, saw how a home composter works, and had the opportunity to ask questions about suitable and unsuitable materials.

At the same time, interested parties submitted a declaration of participation in the program on the spot, while free compost was distributed to participating citizens as a first practical “step” in learning about the benefits of composting and the use of natural fertilizer in the garden.
