On the occasion of World Medical Physics Day, the Laboratory of Medical Physics and Digital Innovation and the Department of Physics of Aristotle University are organizing a workshop dedicated to Medical Physics, on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:15 p.m., in Auditorium A of the Department of Medicine.

According to the organizers, the workshop highlights the role of the radiation physicist in clinical practice, with examples from the University General Hospitals of Thessaloniki ” AHEPA” and “Papageorgiou,” the Theageneio Anticancer Hospital of Thessaloniki, as well as international experiences at CERN and CNAO, covering applications in radiotherapy, functional neuroimaging, and laser and ultrasound technologies.

According to the organizers, this is a unique opportunity for students, researchers, and professionals to learn firsthand about the science that is shaping the future of health and technology.
