Excerpt from the welcome message by Vangelis and Sonia Gerovassiliou:

Epanomi is built at a distance of 7 kilometers from the sea. Its beach stretches over 45 kilometers and serves as a landmark for visitors. For us, however, the landmark is the square, the bazaar […] This daily walk in the village center, in front of the Community building, was the inspiration for this publication. In the neighborhoods that many of us still call by the names of the mahallas (districts), we chose public-use buildings: schools, churches, industrial buildings, sports fields. Some of these are still in use, some abandoned. Some occupy prominent positions in the village’s landscape, while others are hidden. But all have played a significant role in the lives of the residents over the past two centuries.”

The book The Community of Epanomi: Buildings and Routes from the series From Mouth to Mouth was published in May 2025 by Ktima Gerovassiliou Publications. Pages 140.
