The Cultural Foundation of the Bank of Greece invites all interested parties to the online meetings organized by the ELIA/MIET Library entitled: “Children’s and Teenage Libraries: small places, big journeys”.

We travel to small local communities in our country to get to know children’s and teenage libraries. Library managers tell us about their work and activities and share with us the problems they face. We discuss the future and the prospects, looking for areas of cooperation and interaction.

In the first meeting we will travel to Velvento, Kozani, where the Library’s operation manager, Alkmeni Pitsiladi, together with the Library’s partner and consultant Irini Vokotopoulou, will present the Annette Schlumberger Children’s and Teenage Library of Velvento.

In the second meeting from Velvento we go to Ermoupolis of Syros. The librarian Haroula Skavaki will tell us about the children’s section of the Syros Municipal Library.

In the third meeting we move from the Cyclades to Thrace and specifically to the prefecture of Rodopi. The associate and advisor of the library Theodora Arampatzi will introduce us to the Children’s and Teenage Library of Xylagani.
