Can Ice Cream get legs? Can the Candies dance? Does the Genie exist? “Have cartoons come to the dance floor?” What can happen when bobbers and rags yell “Rave the Rag”? Do the watering cans have a voice?

The answers will be given by the big carnival parade in Renti on Fleming Street, on Sunday 2 March at 12.00 pm.

5000 young and old carnivalists, 15 floats will flood the city, carrying the joy and magic of Carnival. After the parade, the celebration continues in the central square of Renti, where the beloved Stella Konitopoulou will take us on a journey with island melodies and traditional songs, setting up a Halloween festival full of music and dance.

The Municipality of Nikaia-Agios Ioannis Rentis completes the carnival events with the traditional Koulouma with Lenten delicacies, on Clean Monday 3 March from 11.00 am at Bihaki Park (Bihaki and St. Annis). Angeliki Konitopoulou will give us a special concert of Greek traditional music, closing the carnival events in the most authentic way.

The Mayor of Nikaia-Agios Ioannis Rentis Konstantinos Maragakis underlines:

“The Carnival of Renti is now an institution and every year it becomes more and more impressive. We expect you all to celebrate together, enjoy the carnival parade, dance at the big concert of Stella Konitopoulou and enjoy the traditional Koulouma in the Bihakis Park, with songs by Angeliki Konitopoulou. Let’s fill our city with fun and optimism in this carnival weekend that we want you to remember”.
