For the 13th year, the Young Artists Festival “The 12 Coupes” invites young artists from all forms of Art (Theatre, Music, Dance, Visual Arts, Photography, Cinema, Video Art etc.) to create short performances (10-30 minutes) and present them daily for fifteen days from 18 May to 1 June 2025 at the To Treno sto Rouf.

In this year’s festival, the participating artists (actors, directors, musicians, composers, choreographers, dancers, visual artists, video artists, etc.) are invited to focus on Man, to explore the fundamental reality of human existence and to highlight the path that the human entity takes to know itself in the fascinating journey of life from the starting point to the end station. Encounters, intersections, transitions, forks, twists and challenges shape the evolutionary course of humanity through time. Today, the rapid acceleration of technology and artificial intelligence necessitates the coalescence with the universe of emotions, reason, imagination and empathy.

Since 2011, the unique global cultural rail festival, inspired by its Artistic Director Tatiana Lygari, has hosted and showcased more than 1,000 individual artists and art groups, creating a vibrant core of youth expression, experimentation and creative collaboration. The festival takes place in the private carriages of the Carriage-Theatre and on the outdoor stage of the Platform and offers a unique experience for artists and audiences to coexist in an unexpected and unconventional space.

All projects will be presented on a daily basis on a rolling schedule for a continuous 15-week period from 19:30 to 23:30.

Deadline for submission is Friday 21 March 2025.

The selection of the final participants will be completed on 2 April 2025.
