
The representatives of OpenAIRE in Cyprus and Greece continue the series of informative webinars and invite you to the first seminar of the year, on the new developments in Open Science. The presentation will be given by Natalia Manolas, Managing Director of the pan-European infrastructure “OpenAIRE”.
Open Science is rapidly being implemented in Europe. As a result, many innovative results are coming to our countries to be integrated into the research and academic ecosystem. The seminar will present the current situation in Europe, as well as highlight the activities of OpenAIRE as a pillar infrastructure of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC). In particular, reference will be made to European developments in terms of policies and infrastructure-services supporting the current institutional framework. In addition, the audience will be informed about the results coming through OpenAIRE’s contribution to major projects and initiatives such as CoARA, PathOS and SciLake. Finally, OpenAIRE’s recently published CoARA Action Plan will be analysed, highlighting how OpenAIRE supports its members in implementing its principles.
At the end of the seminar, participants will have:
- be informed about current Open Science activities in Europe
- deepens the understanding of how the results of the actions can be integrated in Greece and Cyprus
- understand the relationship between OpenAIRE and the EOSC and the projects in which it is actively involved.
- understand how to make use of the OpenAIRE Action Plan for CoARA.
