Tuesday 4 February at the Cultural Centre “Melina” of the Municipality of Athens| 19:00
Eighty years after the liberation of Auschwitz, the memory remains alive. It is not only a historical event but also a constant call to responsibility. At the event “Auschwitz, 80 years later: History, Memory and Transmission“, history is explored, survivors’ voices are heard and we reflect on our duty to keep the truth alive.
Through historical approaches, personal testimonies and musical references, the “Greek” history of the Holocaust and the way in which its memory can serve as a beacon for the future is highlighted.
