The purchase of the property at 15, Sachtouris Street, in Patras on behalf of the Hellenic Open University has been completed.

With the signing of the deed of redemption the property became the full ownership, possession and possession of the HOU.

The project was funded by the Development Programme of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs (Public Investment Programme (PIP)

The procedure took place in the presence of His Eminence the Bishop of Patras Chrysostomos, the Rector of the HOU, Professor Manolis Koutouzis, the Vice Rector of Infrastructure and Finance, Professor Efthymis Zervas, as well as the legal advisors of both parties.

It is a two-storey building on Sachtouris Street and number 15. It consists of ground floor, first floor and attic with a total area of 780 square meters, and has been classified as a work of art by the Ministry of Culture.

The acquisition of the building will strengthen the HOU’s long-standing ties with the events of the city and the citizens of Patras.
