Ghostface Killah is coming to Athens on Saturday, November 23, 2024, along with many special guests, in a night – a celebration of 90s hip-hop.
Other members of Wu-Tang, such as Cappadonna and Inspectah Deck, as well as Efthimis from Terror X Crew, along with Sifu Versus and DJ Wheel-M, will take to the Floyd stage.
Wu-Tang Clan, the greatest rap group of all time, is made up of MCs RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God and Masta Killa. Until his death in 2004, Ol’ Dirty Bastard also participated and in 2007 Cappadonna joined the band. Ghostface Killah, Method Man and Ol’ Dirty Bastard were the three MCs who immediately stood out from the rest of the clan and also shone as solo artists. The debate over who is the “best” MC in the Klan, between Ghostface Killah and Method Man, remains a timeless one among rap music fans.
Ghostface Killah is a living rap legend, not only for his involvement with Wu-Tang but also for his enduring presence as a solo rapper over the last 30 years. His resume speaks for itself: all the classic Wu-Tang albums (36 Chambers, Wu-Tang Forever, The W, etc.), 13 solo albums (Ironman, Supreme Clientele, Fishscale, etc.), and dozens of collaborations with black music stars like Mary J. Blige, Beyoncé, Missy Elliott, Nas, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Busta Rhymes, Mobb Deep, but also with musicians from other genres, such as the jazz trio Bad Bad Not Good.
Prepare yourself for a journey full of raw, unfiltered New York rap, where every rhyme echoes the essence of Wu-Tang and the history of an entire era.
