EARTH & Water| The 5th solo exhibition by Nikos Chiotinis 

Regarding his work, Nikos Chiotinis states: “The phrase earth and water, even in modern Greek, symbolizes unconditional submission to a conqueror, which here is nature. My 5th solo exhibition is dedicated to the two elements of nature. …Our natural environment is diverse and complex with great soil and climatic differences. Plains between rocky massifs, slopes next to forests, endless beaches and nearby high mountains. This is the landscape that contains land and water and is a source of inspiration for me. The theme deals with ecological consciousness, i.e. adopting a friendly attitude towards the environment in order to protect it.”

Nikos Chiotinis was born in Athens and comes from Amorgos. He studied Biological Sciences at the University of Camerino, Italy, while being involved in the world of art and theatre from a very young age. He worked as a Biologist, with a long service of 24 years in the management and smooth operation of diagnostic laboratories of large health units (private clinics). At the same time he participated as an actor in theatrical performances. He studied painting and drawing at “VELLIOS SCHOOL OF ART” – AKTO . Currently he is exclusively engaged in painting, while he runs the art space ARTEVISIONE of which he is the founder since 2018.
