On Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 September, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre (SNFCC) organizes, for the third consecutive year, the SNFCC Green Weekend 2024, an exciting two-day event dedicated to the environment, inviting us to change the way we think about everyday life and our choices for a more sustainable future.

With the Stavros Niarchos Park Dome at its core, the SNFCC – for two whole days – fills all its open spaces with actions and gives a platform to important idea emitters that trigger the dialogue on the modern city: Scientists, academics, local authorities, representatives of civil society, urban “experiments”, artists and active, creative, romantic or pragmatic, city dwellers in a dynamic interaction. Among them, the internationally renowned Urban Planner-Architect Maurizio Carta, George Apostolopoulos (Deputy Mayor of Environment and Greenery, Municipality of Athens), Alexia Spyridonidou (European Commission’s Urban Mobility Expert Group), Architect Zisis Kotionis and Psychiatrist- Psychoanalyst Nikos Sideris.

Those who visit the SNFCC Green Weekend will have the opportunity to participate, with free admission, in a green festival for all ages that includes talks and discussions on key issues related to the future of urban life, exhibitions, film screenings, music, as well as numerous educational and wellness activities (cycling activities, walks in the Park, sunset meditation, educational and art workshops, activities dedicated to people 65+ and many more).
