The Society for Epirotic Studies presents on Friday, April 19, 2024, the musical event “Without Compass“. The event will start at 8 pm, in the K.Katsaris Hall of the Megaron.

The audience will have the unique opportunity to enjoy soprano Maria Tsironi and pianist Lambrina Prevezianou in an exquisite programme.

Bios

Lambrina Prevezianou

She was born in Ioannina from a musical family, where she took her first piano lessons with her mother Irini Prevezianou and received her Piano Diploma with an A grade. She has a degree in Harmony and a degree in Counterpoint and is a graduate of Accounting and Finance and continues her studies in Orchestra Conducting with George Hlitsios. She has won awards in student competitions. She participated as an active member in piano and chamber music seminars with Victor Merzhanov, Sven Birch, Sophia Yakoumidou, Christos Noulis and others. She has performed many concerts with small and large ensembles having curated and orchestrated, many chamber music concerts, solo, for two pianos in many cities in Greece and has been performing as a member of the Ioannina Symphony Orchestra since 2015. She has been a duo with Konstantinos Leontaris for the last 10 years with a large repertoire of chamber music works for violin and piano. She has been working as an accompanying pianist for degrees, diplomas since 2014 and as a piano teacher at the Konstantinos Leontaris Music School and the Contemporary Conservatory of Ioannina.

Maria Tsironi

He was born and raised in Ioannina in 1992. From an early age he started piano and music theory lessons at the Municipal Conservatory of Ioannina. Along with her studies at the School of Philosophy, she continued her studies in classical singing, first in Thessaloniki and then in Athens, where she completed her studies. She graduated from the National Conservatory of Music with honors and first prize, while she is a graduate of the Early Music Department of the Athens Conservatory with honors. Throughout her studies she has participated in numerous singing and acting seminars. She has performed a large number of concerts, embodying roles such as “Barbarina” and “Susanna” in “The Marriage of Figaro”, “Madame Gobinot” and “Monica” in Menotti’s “Medium”. At the same time he is a founding member of Abnormal Artist, a musical group that combines classical music with various art forms. In 2022, she makes her debut at the National Opera House in the work “Offenbach’s La Belle Helene”, adapted by Cornelius Selamsis, and stars as Belle Helene. In the same year she joins Arts MG with her own musical compositions.
