The art gallery Technohoros presents for the third time, on a solo level, Dimos Kipouros with his new exhibition entitled “Travel impressions“. The opening of the exhibition will take place on Wednesday, April 10, 17:30-22:30 and the exhibition will run until Good Friday, May 3, 2024, while the text documenting the exhibition is signed by art historian and curator Christoforos Marinos.

The up-and-coming painter Dimos Kipouros, who has been working exclusively with Technohoros art gallery for the last 12 years, presents his new thematic work, inspired this time mainly by his recent trips to Europe but also by scenes of everyday life. Under the broad title “Travel Impressions”, Dimos Kipouros invites us through simple and familiar images to “travel” and see the world through his eyes. With his companion and main protagonist his partner, in many of the works in his current exhibition, we are given the feeling that we are wandering with them in the streets and green parks of European cities, in large museums such as the Prado and the Louvre, but also in scenes that one might see in a large city such as a demonstration. Those who know the artist and have been following him over the last few years will surely see a change in the way he paints as he says “The extra step I believe I have taken over my previous work is an attempt to move beyond photographic representation“.

A Short Bio:

Dimos Kipouros was born in Orestiada, in 1987. He studied at the Department of Visual and Applied Arts of the University of Western Macedonia, with Professor Yannis Kastritsis (2006 – 2011). With a scholarship from the Onassis Foundation, he completed his postgraduate studies in Fine Arts at Chelsea College of Arts (2014 – 2015). He has presented his work in two solo exhibitions and has participated in group exhibitions in Greece and the UK as well as in international artfairs. In 2023 he participated in the Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts in London. He collaborates with the art gallery Technohoros in Athens. His works belong to private collections in Greece, England, Sweden and Italy. He lives and works in Athens.
