The National Historical Museum and AKTO are collaborating and invite you to the event “When Animation meets History”. The National Historical Museum opens its “doors” to the young and young creators of AKTO and entrusts their design power to a particularly timeless and sensitive issue – that of refugees.
Inspired by the current exhibition of the National Historical Museum, “From Great to Modern Greece (Part B): The Refugees“, which is being held with the exclusive sponsorship of Piraeus Bank, students of AKTO created animated short films. Their works complement the photographic evidence, historical documents and objects from the Museum’s collections, testimonies, source extracts and press releases.
Responding positively to the honorary invitation of NHM and in collaboration with the curators of the exhibition Natasa Kastriti and Regina Katsimardou, the third-year students of the BA (Hons) in Animation & Interactive Media undergraduate programme of AKTO, visualise the 4 thematic sections of the exhibition, through the art of animation.
