The Ministry of Culture is organizing this year -23rd year- the August Full Moon events under the coordination of the General Directorate of Antiquities and Cultural Heritage, offering free admission to selected archaeological sites, museums, historical sites and monuments, on Tuesday 1st and Thursday 31st of August, according to the posted programme. 100 archaeological sites, historical sites, museums and monuments across the country will welcome the public under the moonlight. Events will take place in 50 sites, while 50 others will remain open to the public.

This year’s event will be accompanied by events that will take place on 2 and 30 August. The programme includes mainly concerts, theatrical performances, stargazing and guided tours, organised by the Ministry of Culture, many in cooperation with the local government and cultural and landscaping associations.
