The first Gender Equality Action Plan (GAP) of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki will be presented at a special event on Thursday, October 20, 2022, 10:00-12:00, at the KEDEA of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

The Action Plan for Gender Equality (2022 -2024) was prepared by the Committee for Gender Equality and Anti-Discrimination of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in cooperation with the European project “RESET – Redesigning Equality and Scientific Excellence Together” and approved by the Senate of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (3109/15-6-2022).

The event will be addressed by the Rector of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Professor Nikolaos G. Papaioannou, the Vice-Rector for Research and Lifelong Education of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Professor Efstratios Stylianides, and the President of the Committee for Gender Equality and Anti-Discrimination of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Professor Dimitra Kogidou.

The event will present, among other things, the methodology of development, the strategic objectives and the implementation plan of the actions of the Action Plan for Gender Equality at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

According to the Committee for Gender Equality and Anti-Discrimination of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the Gender Equality Action Plans are an important opportunity to become in practice tools for structural changes towards gender equality and anti-discrimination at all levels of the institution’s operation.
